PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spreader mechanism of a sewing machine for preventing breakage of an oil seal due to abnormal heat generation of a metal bearing and oil leakage from a vertical shaft caused thereby.SOLUTION: In the spreader mechanism of a sewing machine, a regulating member 34 is fixed to a press guide 33 in an arm 3, an engagement part 34a provided at the regulating member 34 is placed so as to abut on an upper surface of an arm 39a formed in an upper decoration crank 39. The engagement part 34a regulates an upward movement of the upper decoration crank 39.
