PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain efficient surface treatment work by properly detecting wear degree of a rotary brush, and properly and automatically adjusting clearance between the rotary brush and a workpiece.SOLUTION: When air flow is generated by rotation of the rotary brushes 10, 20, flow velocity V of the air flow is detected by a flow velocity meter 100. A computing unit 210 obtains a brush diameter D corresponding to the detected flow velocity V referring to data 254 of the flow velocity versus brush diameter in the external memory 250. The computing unit 210 computes the brush position adjustment amount ΔP based on the obtained brush diameter D, a brush initial position P, and workpiece thickness WT. Elevating/lowering mechanisms 12, 22 adjust the positions of the rotary brushes 10, 20 based on the brush position adjustment amount ΔP. |
