PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which uses an aluminum alloy film allowing elimination of barrier metal by allowing direct contact between the aluminum alloy film and a transparent electrode, and to provide a technique for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The display device includes, as main components, a thin film transistor arranged on a glass substrate, a pixel electrode formed of a transparent electrode, and a connection wiring portion formed of an aluminum alloy film electrically connecting the thin film transistor and the pixel electrode.
