PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of abnormal discharge between a negative ion electrode and an opposing electrode, successfully emit negative ions from discharge parts of a negative ion generator and promote cleaning of indoor air.SOLUTION: In the air conditioner, the negative ion generator including the negative ion electrode 12 mounted to a cover 11 and the opposing electrode to which the discharge parts of the negative ion electrode 12 oppose is provided within an indoor unit casing. A mounting part 17 serving as a portion for mounting the negative ion electrode 12 to the cover 11 is provided in part of the negative ion electrode 12, and the distance between the mounting part 17 and the opposing electrode is set larger than that between the discharge part 14 and the opposing electrode. |
