PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely protect a value of a register from false writing at the runaway of a program in a microcomputer.SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes a timer 4 and a protection circuit 5. The timer 4 outputs, in response to a control signal S1 for controlling writing to registers 6a, 7a of protection objects, a timer signal CMP after the lapse of a predetermined first time. The protection circuit 5 invalidates the writing until it receives the timer signal CMP, and validates the writing within a predetermined second time after starting the receipt of the timer signal CMP. |
