PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a ≥2C alcohol in high safety, yield and selectivity, enabling industrial production of the alcohol by using carbon dioxide as a raw material without using petroleum-derived raw materials and biomass and solving problems of conventional technique.SOLUTION: There is provided the method for producing the ≥2C alcohol by reacting carbon dioxide with a reducing agent, wherein the method includes a step to reduce carbon dioxide by using a compound containing nitrogen and hydrogen as the reducing agent. |
