PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner without dust leakage and air leakage at a communicating part.SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner includes: a vacuum cleaner body (not shown) having a dust collection chamber (not shown) and provided above a suction port body (not shown); an operation pipe 3 including a grip 10 at one end; a dust collection hose (not shown) which has one end connected to one end of the operation pipe 3 and the other end to the vacuum cleaner body and makes the operation pipe 3 communicate with the dust collection chamber; a second pipe 11 which is detachably attached to the vacuum cleaner body and telescopically extends from the other ends of the operation pipe 3; and a small diameter pipe 16 which telescopically extends from the other ends of the second pipe 11. The small diameter pipe 16 communicates with the operation pipe 3 inside the second pipe 11. There is provided a blocking body 23 which seals a communicating part 24 of the small diameter pipe 16 and the operation pipe 3. The height of the vacuum cleaner when housed while standing on the floor surface while the operation pipe 3 is mounted to the vacuum cleaner body is lowered, and the blocking body 23 prevents leakage of dust and air. |
