PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CMOS imaging element capable of obviating the need of change of a processing content associated with image inversion in a signal processing section outside the CMOS imaging element when executing a process equivalent to an image inversion process by changing a read order of pixel signals from respective pixels, in a MOS imaging element arranged at a tip or the like of an endoscope insertion part for photographing an endoscope image, and to provide an endoscope device including the same.SOLUTION: This CMOS imaging element 54 is arranged at a tip of an insertion part of the endoscope. The CMOS imaging element 54 includes a function of inverting an image depending on a read order of pixel signals of respective pixels, performs horizontal scanning for reading the pixel signals in a direction reverse to that in non-inversion when laterally inverting the image, and does not read the pixel signal from the pixels at the right and left ends. |
