Smart femto cell multimedia management

摘要

A method and system set up to allow data transfer from or to a device located within a Femtocell. The data transfer is through the Femto cell gateway (FGW) 106 that creates the Femtocell and can be authorised, initiated or modified by a user using mobile equipment 105 in communicative contact with the femtocell gateway. The femtocell gateway 106 is arranged to acts as a multimedia mediator for receiving control information from the mobile equipment 105 for initiating/modifying a multimedia session transmission through the gateway 106 to a device 107 such as a display device. Mobile device 105 may comprise a data transmission control client and femto base station 106 may comprise a data transmission control client.
