In a sphygmomanometer, a flow rate required for uniform rate pressurization of a cuff pressure is controlled by controlling the voltage of a pump for pressurizing a cuff pressure by supplying air thereto. When a pressurization rate is higher than a target rate even if a pump voltage is controlled until the required flow rate is minimized because a cuff size and a size at a measuring part are small, such a control as to exhaust the air in the cuff from a control valve or a slow-speed exhaust valve is performed while air is supplied by means of the pump so that the required flow rate coincides with the flow rate Q of supply air from the pump. Such a control as suppressing exhaust from the cuff is performed in a reverse case. Uniform rate pressurization is performed in a sphygmomanometer on a small capacity cuff to a large capacity cuff by this control.
|
