The method involves receiving a ring section (28) in a groove (26) of a rotor, where the groove is extended in a circumferential direction (58). A notch is provided in the groove. A recess (44) is introduced into the groove. Engaging elements (48) are formed at the ring section for engaging into the recess to form an anti-twist protection in the circumferential direction. The engaging elements are welded or soldered at the groove before inserting the ring section into the groove. The engaging elements are formed by bending a partial region of the ring section. An independent claim is also included for a rotor arrangement comprising a rotor with a groove.
