<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a component which consists of a two-layer structure of a skin material and substrate and can stably develop an air bag. <P>SOLUTION: A male mold 35 contacts incision grooves 13a and 13b of the rear surface 11b of a skin material 11 or its near part and penetrates the inside of a recess for molding 34 of a female mold 33. Thereby, the skin material 11 is pushed into the recess for molding 34 only a predetermined quantity by the male mold 35, and the skin material 11 is formed into the condition near a final shape by the male mold 35. In addition, since the male mold 35 getting into contact with the skin material 11, thereby to reduce the temperature of the skin material 11, the domain which has been formed into an almost final shape is not greatly deformed further. Therefore, the shape of the incision grooves 13a and 13b, and the shape of the domain which is pinched by the incision groove 13a and 13b are fixed into the almost final shape, and weakened grooves 13a and 13b can be formed on the predetermined part of the skin material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
