<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode material for a lithium ion secondary cell whose electrode can be fabricated with the least adhesive material without using a conduction aid material, of whose electrode an active substance density can be raised, and which has a high capacity, a high output, and a long life. <P>SOLUTION: The positive electrode material for a lithium ion secondary cell comprises a composite particle of LiFePO<SB>4</SB>and carbon, or a composite particle of LiFe<SB>x</SB>M<SB>1-x</SB>PO<SB>4</SB>in which part of LiFePO<SB>4</SB>is substituted with a different element (wherein, 0.5<x<1, M: Co, Cr, Mn, Ni, Ti or V) and carbon, wherein the particle shape is a spherical one having an aspect ratio (L/D) of 1 to2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
