680,085. Anchor nuts. ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS. Feb. 2. 1951 [March 9, 1950], No. 2670/51. Class 89 (i). The cage 14, by which a nut is anchored to a sheet 28, is attached to the nut by a conical flange 22 received in a groove in the nut and held by closing in the edge at 24. The cage is narrower than the nut which spans the rectangular opening 26 through which the cage is introduced. Clearance between the sides 18 of the cage and the nut enables the cage to be sprung into place where it is held by flanges 20 and by the resilience of the sides.
