The coupling head (20) of an automatic center buffer coupling for rail vehicles is in the fashion of a Willison coupler and has a coupling socket (18) with two approximately parallel guide faces of a push contour (13) and a pull contour (14). Through suitable sizing of the parts of the buffer coupling, the push contour, the pull contour, the support surface (12) of the small tooth (27) and/or of the coupling socket base (10), deviating from the standard Willison-contour according to UIC code of practice 523, the play with intercoupled coupling heads, especially in the new state of the coupling heads, is almost zero, and especially less than 4 mm. |
