The antenna has lower and upper radiating elements (1, 2) with blocking circuits e.g. inductor (4) and metal wire inductor (5), between upper and lower ends of the elements, respectively. An upper portion (1b) of one of the elements is located between the upper end of the element and one of the circuits. A lower portion (2a) of the other element is located between the lower end of the latter element and the other circuit. The portions form a dipole that functions in a frequency band and is electrically supplied by a power supply circuit (6).
