<p>The process for controlling, compared to a reference position, a support (2) to be maintained in a fixed position of two sheets to be welded by laser, comprises fixing the support near a control template, which is an area of the reference position according to a predetermined constant set (j1, j2) of 5 mm, and controlling the set between the support and the control template. Each of the support includes two bearing surfaces (2a, 2b)perpendicular to each other. The control template has two faces (10a, 10b) perpendicular to each other.
