The method involves forming a pre-consolidated hybrid wire (3). The formation step comprises reducing mass volume from 30 to 70 percent of a hybrid thread (1) by subjecting a portion of the wire to predetermined pressure and supplying spun yarns of thermoplastic matrix fibers to a portion at a predetermined temperature to allow a partial fusion of a part of crystalline or semi-crystalline phase of the portion and allow creep of a part of amorphous phase and a part of the crystalline or semi-crystalline phase between reinforcement fibers to bind the reinforcement fibers.
