The device has removable elements e.g. intermediate and extension shelves (9, 17), equipped with a positioning unit (14) that positions each element on a horizontal handle (7) of a cooking and preparing module (1). The positioning unit is arranged on the removable element and comprises positioning notches opened toward the bottom. The positioning notches are engaged on the horizontal handle of the module and formed in reinforcement bars arranged under the removable element. The removable element includes a terminal edge that cooperates with a corresponding end (5) of the module.
