PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module capable of contributing to miniaturization and improving the detection accuracy of a monitor PD further.SOLUTION: The optical module 1 includes a laser diode 16, a laminated ceramic package 2 which incorporates the laser diode 16, a metal sleeve 31 which is fixed to the laminated ceramic package 2 and houses an optical fiber 33 optically coupled with the laser diode 16, a reflection member 23 which has a main surface 23a crossing the optical axis of emission light from the laser diode 16 and includes, within the main surface 23a, a reflection region 23b for receiving a part of the emission light and reflecting the part of the emission light toward the optical fiber 33, and a photodiode 20 for monitoring which receives light that has passed through the outer side of the reflection region 23b among the emission light. |
