PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developer recovery device in which deterioration in the suction force of a suction means is suppressed, the deterioration occurring, when a recovery member and a sealing member are in contact with a developer holding member.SOLUTION: A cleaning device 100 includes a housing 102; a cleaning blade 106; the sealing member 108; a retracting mechanism 130 for bringing a cleaning blade 106 and the sealing member 108 into contact with an intermediate transfer belt 68 or separating them from it; a suction unit 110; and a hole 150 for taking air into the housing 102. In this case, when the cleaning blade 106 and sealing member 108 come into contact with the intermediate transfer belt 68, air is taken into the housing 102 from the hole 150. As a result, an air flow is generated in each part of the housing 102 in the lengthwise direction thereof, and suction of toner is consequently performed. As a result of this, suppression of deterioration in the suction force of the suction unit 110 is conducted. |
