PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure an arteriosclerosis index with a simple apparatus while reducing a burden imposed on a subject.SOLUTION: This arteriosclerosis index measuring apparatus includes: an arterial volume sensor 70 that is provided on a cuff 20 to be mounted on a measuring site and detects the volume of the artery at the measuring site; a cuff pressure control section 103 that regulates the cuff pressure by pressurization and depressurization; and an index detection section 104. The index detection section 104 calculates an arteriosclerosis index based on a hysteresis indicated by the arterial volume sequentially detected in a process of applying the cuff pressure at a predetermined speed, and the arterial volume sequentially detected in a process of depressurizing the cuff pressure at a predetermined speed after finishing the pressurizing process. |
