<p>To provide a photoelectric conversion element capable of controlling volatilization of an electrolyte and achieving superior photoelectric conversion characteristics, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. ! In the photoelectric conversion element having a structure wherein an electrolyte layer 7 made from electrolyte is filled up between a porous photoelectrode 3 and a counter electrode 6 formed on a transparent substrate 1, an ionic liquid having a functional group of electron pair receptiveness and an organic solvent having a functional group of electron pair supply nature are used as a solvent of the electrolyte. An object consisting of an organic cation made from an aromatic amine cation having a fourth class nitrogen atom and having a hydrogen atom in an aromatic ring and an anion having van der Waals volume of 76 Å3 or more is used as an ionic liquid. The functional group of the electron pair supply nature is an ether group or an amine group. A photosensitizing dye is combined with the surface of the porous photoelectrode 3 in a dye-sensitized photoelectric conversion element. ! (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
