SIMULATED LENS FOR CATARACT SURGERY TRAINING

Provided is a simulated lens to be used in a simulated eye system for cataract surgery training. The simulated lens comprises a simulated nucleus corresponding to the lens nucleus of human eye and a simulated cortex corresponding to the lens cortex of human eye, wherein the simulated nucleus comprises an agar gel having an agar concentration of 1.0-5.0 wt%, and the simulated cortex comprises an agar gel having an agar concentration of 0.5-1.5 wt%, being lower than the agar concentration of the agar gel constituting said simulated nucleus. In another mode, the simulated lens comprises a simulated nucleus corresponding to the lens nucleus of human eye and a simulated cortex corresponding to the lens cortex of human eye, wherein the simulated nucleus comprises a cheese or a cheese-like substance, and the simulated cortex comprises pulp fibers.
