PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system usable without causing the deformation such as deflection and capable of lighting with uniform surface emission.SOLUTION: The lighting system 100 holds a plurality of LED modules 2 on a light source holding part 3 annularly mounted at the center of a chassis 1. The plurality of LED modules 2 emit light toward the outer edge of the chassis 1. The emitted light of the LED modules 2 is reflected by a reflecting sheet 4 and emitted through a ring cover and a clearance between the ring cover and the chassis 1 to the outside. The small number of LED modules 2 installed in a narrow region at the center of the chassis 1 emit bright light up to the outer edge to actualize uniform lighting all over. Moment on the chassis 1 is reduced to suppress the deformation such as deflection.
