PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound generator enabling natural performance by switching over a plurality of elements.SOLUTION: The musical sound generator includes: a storage unit for storing element data for generating musical sound, and a sequence list for recording a sounding order of the plurality of element data; a detector for detecting an instruction regarding sounding including at least a sounding start instruction; a measuring unit for measuring time interval of continuously detected instructions regarding sounding; a selector for sequentially selecting one of the element data in the sounding order which is recorded in the sequence list, according to the detected sounding start instruction; a controller for controlling progress of selection of the element data by the selector according to the time interval; and a musical sound-generating unit for generating musical sound by reading the selected element data from the storage unit. |
