PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for a vehicle including a simple water-proof structure capable of preventing intrusion of water into a cabin from an expansion valve cover of an air conditioning unit (HVAC unit) and joint surfaces of a vertically divided case without using a water-proof cover or the like.SOLUTION: In the air conditioner for the vehicle, the expansion valve cover 6, 7 vertically divided to two parts is provided on an outer surface side of the vertically divided case of the air conditioning unit arranged in the cabin so as to straddle the joint surfaces of the vertically divided case, an expansion valve can be arranged in the expansion valve cover 6, 7, and the inside of the expansion valve cover 6, 7 is penetrated to an engine room through an opening part provided on a toe board. On the upper and lower joint surfaces of the expansion valve cover 6, 7, a level difference part 11 having a lowered inner surface side 9 and a raised outer surface side 10 is formed. |
