<p>A composite ice blade may have a metal ice edge bonded to a metal foil. The metal foil may be bonded to a plastic core to form a composite sandwich having a center plastic core and metal sides. The ice edge may be bonded to the foil by welding or brazing, then formed into shape to accept the plastic core. The plastic core may be injection molded directly into the formed metal structure, or bonded to the metal components in a secondary operation.</p> |
