The method involves providing a printed circuit board (1) for placing a conductor support for cross-linking control electronics of a control module. A recess is provided in the circuit board. A functional printed circuit board module e.g. high density interconnection (HDI) printed circuit board module and power strip control module, is pressed into the recess. The functional printed circuit board module is encapsulated at the circuit board by a printed circuit board layer, where the circuit board is made of a support material made from epoxy resin and flame resistant glass fiber material. An independent claim is also included for a control module for transmission control of a motor vehicle comprising a conductor support printed circuit board.
