PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently perform activities while ensuring a wide visual field.SOLUTION: An HMD captures the image of a real space, and captures a left viewpoint image and a right viewpoint image by respective left and right camera units which have wide-angle lenses respectively. A main image GC is extracted from a central portion of each viewpoint image, and a left sub-image GL and a right sub-image GR are extracted from the periphery. The distortion aberration of the wide-angle lens in the respective main images GC is corrected, and they are displayed in front of the left eye and in front of the right eye so as to be stereoscopically viewed. The left sub-image GL and the right sub-image GR are displayed on the left and right of the main image GC without being corrected. |
