PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic sphygmomanometer capable of appropriately measuring a blood pressure by detecting that an arm band is passed reversely to an upper arm in a wrong manner, and eliminating the need for new provision of a sensor for determining the insertion direction by determining the insertion direction from signals of K-sound detecting air bags for measuring the K-sound.SOLUTION: This electronic sphygmomanometer 1 extracts a first lower frequency component signal ZS (ZS1) from a first signal of an air pressure fluctuation acquired from a pressure sensor 64 when raising the pressure of the interior of an ischemic air bag 14, extracts a second low frequency component signal ZT (ZT1) from a second signal of air pressure fluctuations inside the K-sound detecting air bags 500 acquired from a K-sound sensor 600 when air is fed to the interior of the ischemic air bag to raise the pressure, acquires a first peak point value from the first low frequency component signal and acquires a second peak point value from the second low frequency component signal, and when the correlation between the first peak point value and the second peak point value is low, determines that the upper arm T is inserted reversely to the arm band 2. |
