PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly measure the weight of an article even if there is a change in the X-ray absorption due to an environmental change and a fluctuation in components of the article.SOLUTION: An X-ray irradiation means 23 irradiates the measurement target article W with X rays. An X-ray sensor 24 receives the transmitted X rays. An image memory 25 stores image information. An X-ray absorption calculation means 26 finds the X-ray absorption by the article W from the stored X-ray image. A weight conversion means 28 converts the calculated X-ray absorption into a weight value by a conversion coefficient stored in a conversion coefficient storage means 27. A load detecting measurement section 40 receives a load of the article W by a load sensor 41 and detects the weight of the article W. A conversion coefficient update means 29 updates the conversion coefficient stored in the conversion coefficient storage means 27 by the weight value obtained by the weight conversion means 28 and the weight value obtained by the load detecting measurement section 40 with regard to the same article.
