PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine as retrieval conditions a plurality of specified face images when a plurality of human faces are specified on an image, and to retrieve images based on the determined retrieval condition.SOLUTION: When a user specifies a plurality of faces from a list of thumbnail images displayed on a display part 16, a specification accept part 21 accepts its input signal and outputs the accepted input signal to a retrieval query determination part 22. The retrieval query determination part 22 determines a retrieval query based on the feature quantity of specified face images, based on the input signal from the specification accept part 21. An image retrieval part 23 retrieves retrieval object image groups stored in a removable medium 2 based on the retrieval query determined by the retrieval query determination part 22 and extracts the images with similarity to the query image higher than a threshold. |
