摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminescence measuring instrument for measuring the luminescence or fluorescence of a light wavelength region of 550-680 nm emitted from the sample put in a 24-well microplate with high sensitivity in a high S/N ratio at a high speed.SOLUTION: This luminescence measuring instrument uses a live cell or individual for developing a luminous reactant, a fluorescent reactant, luciferase or GFP in a test tube or its extract as a sample to measure the luminescence or fluorescence emitted from the sample housed in the 24-well microplate 7. This luminescence measuring instrument is equipped with a measuring darkroom 1, a high-sensitivity photomultiplier tube 2, a measuring darkroom shutter 3, a first movable part 8, a second movable part 9, a counter 5 and a control part 4. The control part 4 performs the control of the opening and closing operation of the measuring darkroom shutter 3 and the positioning of the 24-well microplate 7 and the high-sensitivity photomuliplier tube 2 through the first and second movable parts 8 and 9 on the basis of the photometric time, photometric standby time, the number of times of measurement and measuring time interval set by an experimenter and counts the output from the high-sensitivity photomuliplier tube 2 through the counter 5.
