PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical pencil in which a number of component parts is reduced and in which assembling is facilitated, in a type of the mechanical pencil that delivers a lead from the tip end by vertically moving the shaft cylinder.SOLUTION: A lead tank 4 is movably stored in the shaft cylinder 1, with a weight 19 movably fitted in the axial direction to the periphery of the lead tank 4. A knock spring 9 is installed between the front of the lead tank and the inner face of the shaft cylinder. In the front of this lead tank, a chuck guide 20 having a chuck 29 is provided movably in the axial direction and pressed rearward with a weak chuck spring 26 installed between the inner faces of the shaft cylinder. The chuck guide 20 advances together with the lead tank 4 when the lead tank is knocked and, when the weight 19 comes into contact with it, moves independently from the lead tank 4. |
