<p>Disclosed is an exhaust gas purifying system provided with: an exhaust gas purifying catalyst disposed in an exhaust gas passage of an internal combustion engine of a vehicle; a fuel supply device which, disposed in the aforementioned exhaust gas passage upstream from the exhaust gas purifying catalyst, supplies fuel to the exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust gas purifying catalyst; a heating device which heats the fuel supplied by the fuel supply device; and a controller for controlling the heating device. When a first processing request, which depends on the state of the aforementioned exhaust gas purifying catalyst, is established, but a second processing request, which depends on the operating state of the vehicle, has not been established (t2), the controller controls the heating device preheating temperature to be less than the ignition threshold at which the fuel can ignite; when both the first processing request and the second processing request are established (t3), the controller controls said preheating temperature to be greater than said ignition threshold value.</p> |
