PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which can be easily handled almost without sensing heat during lighting it and immediately after switching it off, and lighting equipment equipped with the light emitting device.SOLUTION: The light emitting device 1 includes: a light emitting body 2; a device body 3 which is provided with the light emitting body 2 in one end side 7a, and includes a power supply potion 26 in an another end side 7b; a lighting device 4 housed in the device body 3; a light-transmitting globe 5 attached in the one end side 7a of the device body 3 so as to cover the light emitting body 2; and an annular body 6 which has thermal conductivity smaller than that of the device body 3, provided in the one end side 7a of the device body 3, or provided by extending over the device body 3 and the globe 5, and along an outer peripheral surface 7c of the device body 3 so as to project outside from the largest outer diameter portion 16 of the device body 3. |
