PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passenger conveyor capable of making both compatible in energy-saving and transport efficiency, when controlling an operation speed from an operation state of the passenger conveyor.SOLUTION: This passenger conveyor includes an electric power consumption measuring part for measuring electric power consumption of an inverter, a passenger flow quantity calculating part for calculating a passenger flow quantity from an integral value per predetermined time of the electric power consumption of the inverter, a passenger number calculating part for calculating the passenger number of one group from the size of the electric power consumption of the inverter or a time interval from the last time waveform of the electric power consumption of the inverter to the passenger flow quantity, an operation speed table for determining the operation speed of the passenger conveyor from a combination of the passenger number of the one group and the passenger flow quantity, an operation speed determining part for determining the operation speed from the passenger number of the one group and the passenger flow quantity by referring to the operation speed table, and an inverter control part for controlling the inverter based on the operation speed determined by the operation speed determining part. |
