PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus which can suppress upsizing and cost increase of the apparatus.SOLUTION: The recording apparatus has a medium supporting part 24 which supports a recording medium R by a medium support surface 24a. The recording apparatus includes a suction device 28 which performs suction via suction holes 26 formed in the medium support surface, a holding member 31B which covers and holds the recording medium at a side edge R1 in a direction nearly orthogonal to a conveyance direction of the recording medium, and a cover member 91 which is formed of a soft elastic material and is set to be movable according to a width of the recording medium and a position of the holding member to cover suction holes 26 located outside in the direction nearly orthogonal to the conveyance direction from the holding member. |
