PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for anaerobic treatment capable of reducing an alkaline agent usage while keeping high activity of an anaerobe.SOLUTION: The apparatus for anaerobic treatment includes a tank including the anaerobe and is so configured that organic-matter-containing wastewater is anaerobically treated with the anaerobe in the tank, and includes a pH measuring device for measuring the pH value of the water in the tank and a COconcentration measuring device for measuring the COconcentration of the gas in the tank. The alkalinity is calculated from the measured value by means of the pH measuring device, the measured value by means of the COconcentration measuring device and the correlation among the alkalinity of the water in the tank, the pH value of the water in the tank, and the COconcentration of the gas in the tank. On the basis of the calculated alkalinity, the apparatus is so configured that the alkaline agent is added to the water in the tank to keep the alkalinity of the water in the tank within the range of 1,000 to 5,000 mg/L. |
