PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus that can perform predetermined processing at decided time, while achieving power-saving when reducing power consumption in a standby state, even if receiving an external supply of power from an AC adapter or the like.SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes: a power supply control part that controls power supply; a detection signal generation part that generates, upon detecting that an external power supply is connected in an operation standby state for suppressing power consumption and standing by operation, a detection signal just for a fixed time period in response to the detection; a power supply part that supplies power to the power supply control part based on the detection signal generated by the detection signal generation part, and stops power supply to the power supply control part after a fixed time period has lapsed from connection in the operation standby state; and a timekeeping part that is controllable from the power supply control part and outputs when set-up time comes, a predetermined signal that makes the power supply part supply the power to the power supply control part. |
