PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid quality adjuster which eliminates the need of replacement of a liquid over a long period of time even when an ion exchange resin is not used.SOLUTION: A reaction cell (liquid quality adjuster) 80 has a reactant 11, a stimulation responsive gel 83 including the reactant, a capsule 12 enclosing the reactant and the stimulation responsive gel 83 and an opening and closing part 84 which is provided in the stimulation responsive gel 83 so as to cause the reactant to react with a material in the liquid in response to a change in the property of the liquid. As one example, when the pH of the liquid is made lower than a certain value, the stimulation responsive gel is contracted to form a rout 85 reaching the reactant in the capsule. |
