PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for reducing problems that occur in a composite image, which are caused by lighting of a lighting apparatus.SOLUTION: The image display system is capable of generating a composite image that shows surrounding situations of a vehicle viewed from virtual viewpoints, by combining a plurality of shot images taken by a plurality of on-board cameras that are disposed at different locations on the vehicle. The image display system changes data volumes of shot images based on a lighting state of a lighting apparatus, the shot images being used for an overlap area of the composite image that corresponds to an area that can be photographed in an overlapped state by two on-board cameras of the plurality of on-board cameras (step S13 and S15). This reduces problems caused by lighting of the lighting apparatus in the overlap area of the composite image. |
