PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve communication efficiency between a power transmission device and a power reception device.SOLUTION: The power transmission device includes: a controller by which a drive signal modulated in accordance with data is outputted to a power transmission unit to control drive operation of the power transmission unit; a data storage unit which stores the data each time when the data transferred from the power transmission unit toward the power reception unit is inputted into the power transmission unit; and a comparison unit which compares whether or not the data stored in the data storage unit agree with the data newly inputted into the power transmission unit. The controller is constituted so as to output the drive signal modulated in accordance with the newly inputted data to the power transmission unit and transmit the newly inputted data to the power reception device, when the data compared in the comparison unit do not agree with each other, and so as not to transmit the newly inputted data to the power reception device, when the data compared in the comparison unit agree with each other. The same goes for a configuration of a power reception control device.
