The invention relates to a defrosting heating element (20, 40, 60) for a refrigerator (1), in particular for an evaporator of a refrigerating circuit of the refrigerator (1). The defrosting heating element (20, 40, 60) comprises a housing (21), which is configured in particular in tubular fashion and/or is curved in meandering form, and a heating wire (23), which runs within the housing (21) and is led through the housing (23). The housing (21) is of expansible configuration such that a pressure which arises on account of potential overheating of the defrosting heating element (20, 40, 60) in the interior of the housing (21) expands the housing (21) such that the heating wire (23) ruptures. |
