PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for measuring distance using an optical comb, capable of attaining simple optical measurements of the absolute distance up to an object to be measured approximately 10 m away, which has a low-reflectance surface or a scattering plane, by a noncontact method with precision of at least 0.1 mm, by solving the problem wherein the quantity of light is too small and it is difficult to extract only required beats from a large number of own beats with high signal to noise ratio (SN ratio).SOLUTION: The apparatus for measuring a distance to an object, measures the distance up to the object by comparing beat signal phases of beat signals between a plurality of CW lasers reflected or scattered by the light source and the object with those by a plurality of CW lasers, prior to the irradiation of the light source and the object. |
