PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus, image processing system and digital camera, wherein a suitable name can be set to a sample image without troubling a user.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus 100 includes: a sample image display section 111 for displaying on a display device 106 a sample image based on sample image data stored in an HDD 104; an intermediate data creation section 114 for creating intermediate data including partial image data obtained by extracting a selected region from the sample image data in response to a selecting operation by an input device 105; a name data creation section 115 for creating name data based on contents of the intermediate data; a color sample data creation section 116 for creating color sample data composed of the intermediate data and the name data; a color sample data storage section 117 for storing the color sample data in the HDD 104; and a color sample data classification section 118 for classifying a plurality of color sample data items stored in the HDD 104 to a plurality of groups based on contents of respective color sample data.
