PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling an internal combustion engine that prevents deposit generated in a combustion chamber and deterioration of exhaust emission, while preventing deterioration of fuel consumption.SOLUTION: An engine system 1 recognizes a PM amount generated in the combustion chamber 11 from an amount of deposit adhered on the combustion chamber 11. In addition, the system improves combustion performance of the engine 100 to reduce an exhaust PM amount, while preventing fuel from adhering on a deposit in the combustion chamber 11, on the basis of the recognized PM amount. Accordingly, the deposit generated in the combustion chamber and the deterioration of exhaust emission are prevented, while the deterioration of fuel consumption is prevented. |
