PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simplified method for adapting a menu relevant to a storage medium when a multimedia content of an exchangeable storage medium is extended by the related multimedia content from the other source.SOLUTION: The multimedia content of an exchangeable storage medium like an optical disk is extended by the bonus content which is downloaded via Internet connection and stored in a local storage device. A solution means is provided by integrating menu items relating to the content on the disk and the downloaded content. For this, the method includes: a step to define a place holder in the menu; a step to determine a storage place or a naming protocol of the bonus content; a step to provide association to specific type bonus content for each place holder; a step to supply a button image; a step to detect the presence of the bonus content data; a step to replace the associated place holder with the button image; and a step to perform the associated operation when the button is selected.
