PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibrating reed and a vibration device, which can efficiently make a vibration arm perform flexion vibration in an in-plane direction, while attaining miniaturization and suppressing the vibration of unnecessary vibration mode.SOLUTION: A vibrating reed 2 has a base 27 and two vibration arms 28, 29 extended in a Y axis direction from the base 27 and provided along an X axis direction perpendicular to the Y axis for flexion vibration in the X axis direction, each vibration arm 28, 29 is equipped with a pair of mutually facing main planes with a Z axis direction intersecting perpendicularly respectively to the Y axis and the X axis as a normal line, and a pair of mutually facing side planes with the X axis direction as the normal line, in each main plane, grooves 282, 283 extended in the Y axis direction are formed, in each side plane, projections 284, 285 extended in the Y axis direction are formed. |
